Cash Site Journal: Day2-Continuing with More Research
Day 2
Welcome back.
If you have completed yesterday’s task then you have a well researched list of 4-5 topics in your disposal.
Good
Keep the researched list handy because next time when you start building an affiliate-adsense site, the initial research is already completed and you can start from Day 2 .
Ok so we start our money site building with one of the topics in our list. But before we actually start to build our site there’s some more legwork to do.
First we will take a closer look at the topic we have chosen and decide whether it has some hidden sub niches. We will have to decide whether it will be better to build a site around one of the sub niche or should we attack the niche as a whole.
Once we decide that we will do some more research that will reveal what are the actual keywords that we should target to create pages for our site.
So let’s begin …

Hi Maujhuri,
Another eye-opening day. One of my topics is baby strollers. To see you take it to the next level is amazing. I look forward to the next lesson. By the way, I have other topics and I think just using your method, I will be able to research them easily.
My question for today is, ‘Is it okay for us to write out these steps for ourselves and to make flow charts, mind maps, checklists, etc.?
Thanks
Julius

Hi Maujhuri
what sort of numbers are we looking for in the intitle search? over what number do you consider too competative?
Also how many searches do you consider worthwhile going after?
for instance over 3000 searches a month for a keyword and under 2000 intitle results.
Thanks
Ken

Ken,
As I said in the above post, we are looking for two type of search terms here…. Type 1 precisely targeting the buyers, means those who are searching a specific brand, model/version numbers. You won’t find a huge search number for these keyphrases. But these are golden keywords and even if there are only 30-40 daily searches, I’d go for them. Regarding intitle search, you will again find in most cases for Type 1 keywords the competition is virtually non existent or a mere 200-500 which can be easily dominated.
Type 2 keywords (people searching for more info) are good for Adsense pages. I’d go for any related keyphrase with over 100 searches a month and competition is less than a few hundred. I always go for low hanging fruit as it is easy to rank and profit from these keywords.
Surely you can target numbers like over 3000 search and under 2000 intitle result. But I’ll go for these terms after my site has established it’s foothold in Google and has already started earning some money.
